One of the quotes that Emma uses in High Mysticism is "That thou seest, that thou beest." I am not sure where this comes from but it does speak to a fundamental precept that we hold in name. That is that everything takes place in connection with the perceiver. It isn't so much what we see but how we see it. Again to quote the indomitable Ms. Em; "For it is primarily what we most see, and not what we most think, that constitutes our presence, power and history."
ReplyDeleteI figured out how to get onto this blog! Yay!Just got through the first 5 pages of the Emma book I was able to purchase on Sunday. I was sitting at The Vet, my little Dog Bodi got a foxtail stuck in his ear, and I thought about his experience of life, and how fully present he is to each moment, and that he is totally in his own being-ness.... that's why you never want to have an animal, like a cat or a dog, on stage in a play- animals are so easily in the moment. A cat watching a piece of dust slowly fall from the rafters will steal the show from the actors instantly.
ReplyDeleteTonight, I see the moon and the moon is in me. The things I have "most seen" have been freedom, beauty and nature. If I quantify what I have seen and my perception is made up mostly of the things I've most seen, that helps me realize Gratitude right now. :)
Here' a cool link to a cool David Bowie song...

Life is this glorious gift. It unfurls its beauty before me and constantly challenges my mind to stay focused.
ReplyDeleteI am in the thick of remembering Emma's "Good" message and it is supporting me as I move through things that could be COMPLETELY FREAKING ME OUT!!! As I dig into the denials further, I am going to live more squarely in my Good...
Just jammed through a great book this weekend that has given me more to treat/pray about! It's called Fleeing Fundamentalism and was written by Carlene Cross. Wow! Riveting...page turner....
I am happy to have been learning so much about ancient wisdom new thought and how I can express my divinity right here and now.
